Veterinary Assistant
A lifelong animal lover, Alyjah originally began her undergraduate studies on the pre-med track with plans to work in human medicine. As she gained experience, however, she discovered how meaningful it was to care for animals and the people who love them. Recognizing the important role pets play in their families’ lives inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
When working with clients, Alyjah strives to make sure every person feels heard, respected, and confident that their pet is in good hands. She also appreciates that veterinary medicine offers endless opportunities to learn and grow, and she enjoys expanding her knowledge so she can continue providing compassionate care.
At home, she has what she affectionately calls “a little zoo,” complete with dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, and a pet rat. Caring for such a diverse crew has given her an even greater appreciation for animals’ individual personalities and the many unique ways they communicate and show affection.
