Veterinary Assistant
Melissa has always had a special connection with animals, especially those who are shy, nervous, or unsure. Inspired by her beloved “soul” dog, Beulah, a Bernese Mountain Dog who passed in 2025, she believes every pet deserves patience, understanding, and the chance to feel safe.
As a Veterinary Assistant, Melissa’s goal is to help both pets and their owners feel comfortable, supported, and confident in the care they receive. She especially enjoys building trust with nervous pets and watching them become more comfortable over time.
At home, Melissa shares her life with three dogs – two Aussies, Ruger and Remington, and a Chihuahua named Killer – as well as several cats, snakes, fish, and a turtle. Many of her pets are proud “foster fails,” making her home just as animal-filled as her workday.
