Veterinary Assistant
I grew up surrounded by animals, from geese and cattle to every cat and dog I could find. Although I wasn’t actually allowed to have pets as a child, I always felt a deep connection with animals. That bond inspired me to pursue veterinary medicine, so I could be a voice for those who can’t speak for themselves.
I’m a licensed veterinarian in Colombia and a graduate of Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira. I also earned a certification in Small Animal Radiology from Instituto de Capacitación Profesional Córdoba in Argentina. During my training, I completed clinical rotations in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, assisting in numerous procedures, and gained hands-on experience through an internship focused on small animal anesthesia and monitoring.
Currently, I’m proud to serve as a veterinary technician at Springs Road Animal Hospital while working toward my U.S. veterinary licensure.
Being raised between two countries has shaped who I am today and has given me a unique perspective and a passion for connecting with pet parents from all backgrounds. I’m fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and I strive to make sure Spanish-speaking families feel heard, informed, and confident about their pets’ care.
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.” — Anatole France
